"I write with regard to the band Rebel Without Applause, who have played at the last two King's College Year 13 Graduation Balls and have been re-booked again this year. On the occasions when I have seen them play, I have been most impressed at their ability of being able to play the right music for the occasion. As you can imagine, with a Year 13 Graduation Ball which includes 17 and 18 year
olds and their parents, the musical tastes of the audience are quite varied. However, the band has been able to keep everyone happy and create a very strong party atmosphere and the dance floor has been packed from their very first song to their last on each occasion they have been involved with this function. I was also most impressed on one occasion when I asked Rick Poole and his band to allow a group of school students to do a few songs during the night and they were most helpful, which many other bands would not have been, given the request.
